International Airport,Kishangarh

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh laid the foundation stone for Kishingarh Airport.The Kishangarh airport, was set up at an estimated cost of 161 crore in first phase, will accelerate economic activities and growth in the area. Ajmer is a noted tourist destination having famous dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti and Brahma temple in Pushkar town. Besides, the region is known for industries including that of marble and the new project of airport will push economic growth.

Kishangarh town, famous for marble industry, is located on NH-8 near Ajmer city. The civil airport, set by Airport Authority of India, in the town has 2000 meter long runway and a capacity to handle 1500 passengers.

Terminal building has been planned on modular concept with modern facilities. There are 6 check-in counters, one security check unit and parking capacity for 1000 cars

Kishangarh airport will be the first project under a scheme endorsed by the Federal Government and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to develop or open 100 airports in small towns or cities over the next seven years.

Airport became operational on 02 Dec 17 , serving pilgrims to the nearby Ajmer Dargah and Pushkar Lake,Industries in and around Jaipur ,DMIC corridor related activities etc.
